I was on a huge flying greenhouse. There were plants all over the place, the walls were made of glass, and the whole indoor garden was moving through the air atop an airship of some sort. There was a navigation console in the center of the greenhouse with a crew working the controls and watering the plants. They were all wearing white sailor suits.
Then the captain announced over the intercom that we were in for a rough landing and we should protect the bugs. Almost immediately, the crew brought out these little rings with plastic domes. Some of them were wearing as many as five rings on one hand. Insects hopped out from all directions and entered the little domes on the rings. As the insects entered the domes, the rings lit up.
In the second dream, I was seated at the navigation console working out the flight path. Someone inserted a VHS tape into a slot in the console and pushed a button to rewind the tape. Unfortunately, the tape had a glitch in it and the whole console froze and then blanked out. I was about to make a point about how ridiculous it was to integrate a VCR into the navigation console when someone pointed out a fireworks display just outside the airship and everyone went to the glass windows for a look.
