Dream Diary: December 1996

December 11/12 (Color)

I was in a hotel room with someone who looked like either Arnold Schwarzenegger or the alien on the X-Files. For some reason, he was mad at me but since he had to use the bathroom, he let me have a head start before coming after me. So, while he was in the bathroom, I propped a chair up against the bathroom door knob and left.

I was watching some kids draw graffiti. They had an odd way of doing it. First they drew the outline in black on one side of the wall. Then they went round to the other side of the wall and shot white paint at the wall through garden hoses under very high pressure. The white paint went right through the wall as though the wall was porous.

The scene changed and I found myself looking at a teenager seated at a computer. He exclaimed that a rival gang had stolen his graffiti technique and apparently he found that out on the Internet, which is amazing considering the monitor (and presumably the computer as well) wasn't switched on. So he got his older friend, who looked like Woody Harrelson, and the two of them went off to face the rival gang. Soon they arrived at a maze of graffiti-covered walls. But there was an ambush and they found themselves surrounded by members of the rival gang. Then I woke up.

This is a family scene although it is not my family. The oldest daughter had bleached her hair by mistake and part of it was now blonde while the rest was brown. The whole family was debating on whether she should color the bleached part or continue bleaching her hair until it was all blonde. Then the youngest of the family suggested she dye her hair purple and everyone fell down laughing.

December 18/19 (Color)

I was driving on a highway and saw a toll plaza up ahead. So I reached into the cup holder on my right where, in this dream, I had kept my toll tokens and got a handful. The tokens were all different sizes and one of them was over two inches in diameter. As I didn't feel any of those tokens were correct, I drove into a manned toll booth lane. The strange thing was the booth was on the passenger side rather than the driver side. The lady in the booth said "two dollars" nonchalantly and didn't turn my way or look up from whatever she was reading.
